PAYMENTS POLICY

This Payments Policy explains how ElectroPlace (operated by RYE FLOUR COOKIES LTD, Company No. 15107933) processes
payments for orders placed on electroplace.co.uk. It forms part of our
Terms & Conditions and should be read with our
Privacy Policy,
Shipping Policy, and
Return & Refund Policy.

1) Accepted payment methods (cards only)

We currently accept payment by the following credit and debit cards only:

  • Visa (Credit/Debit)
  • Mastercard (Credit/Debit)

Alternative payment methods (e.g., bank transfer, cash on delivery, Buy-Now-Pay-Later, crypto) are not supported at this time.
We may add or remove methods in future without prior notice.

2) Currency, pricing & VAT

  • All prices are shown in British Pounds (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Our VAT registration number: [VAT_NUMBER_IF_APPLICABLE].
  • Your card issuer may charge conversion fees if your card is not denominated in GBP.
  • We take care to display accurate prices; however, in the event of an obvious pricing error we may cancel the order and issue a full refund (see our Terms).

3) Authorisation, capture & when you are charged

  • At checkout, our processor may place a temporary authorisation on your card to verify funds.
  • We typically capture payment when your order is confirmed and preparing for dispatch. For partial shipments we may capture amounts proportionally.
  • If an authorisation cannot be obtained or later fails, we will notify you and may place the order on hold or cancel it.

4) Security & compliance

  • Payments are processed by our secure payment gateway [PAYMENT_PROCESSOR], which is PCI DSS compliant.
  • We do not store full card numbers or CVV codes on our servers. All transmission uses TLS encryption.
  • Strong Customer Authentication (SCA/3-D Secure) may be required by your bank; please complete any verification steps to avoid delays.

5) Billing details & checks

  • Provide accurate billing name, address and contact details. We may use Address Verification (AVS) and other checks to reduce fraud.
  • We may decline, cancel or request additional verification (e.g., proof of identity or address) where fraud is suspected.
  • Your card statement’s billing descriptor will appear as [BILLING_DESCRIPTOR e.g., “ELECTROPLACE”].

Order totals & shipping charges

Shipping is calculated at checkout and included in your order total:
£9.99 flat rate for UK delivery; free delivery for orders of £50.00 or more (after discounts).

6) Promotions, coupons & gift cards

  • Unless otherwise stated, only one coupon or promotional code may be used per order and cannot be applied to gift cards or already-discounted items.
  • Coupons have no cash value, are non-transferable and may be withdrawn at any time.
  • Where a discount applies to an order that is later partially returned, the value of the discount may be proportionally deducted from any refund.

7) Cancellations, refunds & chargebacks

  • You may cancel prior to dispatch by contacting info@electroplace.co.uk. After dispatch, please follow our Return & Refund Policy.
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days of receipt and inspection of returned goods (see Return Policy for full conditions).
  • If you believe a card transaction is unauthorised, contact us first. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may delay resolution.
  • We reserve the right to dispute unfounded chargebacks and to restrict future orders where abuse is detected.

8) Payment failures & holds

  • If payment fails or is reversed, we may place your order on hold or cancel it. You’ll be notified to update your payment details.
  • For back-orders or pre-orders (if offered), we may retain an authorisation and capture once stock is ready. If we cannot fulfil within a reasonable time, we will cancel and release the authorisation.

9) Age & capacity

You must be 18+ and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to make purchases on our Website. Orders placed by minors may be cancelled.

10) Data protection

We process your billing information in accordance with our
Privacy Policy. We keep only the minimum necessary payment metadata
(e.g., transaction ID, last 4 digits, expiry month/year) and never store full card numbers or CVV.

11) Changes to this Payments Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates the most recent revision.
