This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to your access to and use of electroplace.co.uk (the “Website”) and any related services operated by
RYE FLOUR COOKIES LTD (“ElectroPlace”, “we”, “us”, “our”), Company No. 15107933, 120 Vyse St, Birmingham, B18 6ND, United Kingdom.
This AUP forms part of our Terms & Conditions and is incorporated by reference.
Capitalised terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms.

1) Scope & who this applies to

  • This AUP applies to all visitors, account holders, purchasers, contributors of reviews or other user content, and anyone interacting with our Website, systems or communication channels.
  • By using the Website, you agree to comply with this AUP in full. If you do not agree, you must not use the Website.
  • Where you use the Website on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business and that the business will comply with this AUP.

2) Eligibility & account security

  • You must be 18 years or older (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to place orders or create an account.
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at info@electroplace.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access, credential compromise or any security issue.

3) General acceptable use principles

You agree to use the Website lawfully, responsibly and with respect for others. In particular, you agree to:

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations (including consumer protection, privacy/data protection and IP laws).
  • Provide accurate information when creating an account, placing orders or submitting content.
  • Use the Website only for its intended purpose: browsing and purchasing products, managing orders, leaving fair and honest reviews, and contacting support.

4) Prohibited activities (you must NOT)

  • Unlawful conduct: Use the Website for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Fraud & payments abuse: Conduct card testing, stolen-card use, chargeback abuse, identity theft, or misleading purchase activity.

  • Service disruption: Engage in any activity that imposes an unreasonable load or interferes with the proper working of the Website (e.g., DDoS, flooding, mail-bombing, logic bombs).
  • Malware & harmful code: Upload or transmit viruses, worms, spyware, ransomware, backdoors, corrupted files or any code intended to harm or hijack systems or data.
  • Automated access: Use robots, spiders, scrapers, crawlers, data mining or extraction tools without our prior written consent. Price scraping, content harvesting or bulk downloads are prohibited.
  • Reverse engineering: Decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer or otherwise attempt to derive source code from any part of the Website or our software, except to the extent permitted by law.
  • IP infringement: Upload, post or transmit any content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets or other proprietary rights of any party.
  • Misrepresentation: Impersonate any person or entity; falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation; submit fabricated reviews, endorsements or testimonials.
  • Harassment & abuse: Post content that is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, or that promotes violence, self-harm or illegal activities.
  • Privacy violations: Collect, store or disclose personal data about others without lawful basis or consent; attempt to gain access to accounts or data not belonging to you.
  • Circumvent restrictions: Use framing, masking, hidden text/links, or techniques to bypass navigation or access controls; interfere with the display of pages or pricing.
  • Unauthorised commercial use: Resell access, run promotions or lotteries, or advertise third-party products/services through our Website without written permission.
  • Prohibited content uploads: Upload instructions for illegal activities; content facilitating the bypass of safety features; or materials that would expose us or users to legal liability.

5) User content & reviews

  • You are solely responsible for any text, images, ratings, questions or other content you submit.
  • Content must be truthful, based on your genuine experience and relevant to the product or service.
  • You grant ElectroPlace a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt and use your content for Website operation, marketing and compliance.
  • We may moderate, edit, refuse or remove content at our discretion (e.g., if it is unlawful, misleading, abusive, promotional/soliciting, or off-topic).
  • Do not include personal data (yours or others’) in public posts unless necessary and you have consent to share it.

6) Intellectual property & takedowns

If you believe that content on the Website infringes your intellectual property rights, please email:
info@electroplace.co.uk with the subject “IP Complaint” and include:

  1. Your full name, address and contact details.
  2. Identification of the work(s) you claim are infringed and the exact URL(s) of the allegedly infringing material.
  3. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights owner, its agent, or the law.
  4. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.

We may remove or disable access to the content while we investigate. We may also terminate repeat infringers’ accounts where appropriate.

7) Data protection & privacy

Your use of the Website must comply with our
Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws (including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018).
You must not attempt to extract, harvest or re-identify personal data from our systems, nor upload personal data of others without a lawful basis.

8) Monitoring & enforcement

  • We may monitor use of the Website (manually or via automated tools) to protect security, enforce this AUP, and improve our services.
  • We may remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, refuse orders, block IP addresses, or take technical/legal steps if we believe you have violated this AUP or any law.
  • We may report unlawful activity to law-enforcement and cooperate with investigations.

9) Reporting abuse & security issues

To report abuse, security vulnerabilities or suspected violations of this AUP, please contact
info@electroplace.co.uk (subject: “AUP Report”).
Provide as much detail as possible (URLs, timestamps, screenshots, request IDs, logs). Please do not publicly disclose vulnerabilities until we confirm remediation.

10) Consequences & liability

  • Violation of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of access without notice and may expose you to civil or criminal liability.
  • You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ElectroPlace, our directors, employees and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses arising from or related to your breach of this AUP.

11) Changes to this AUP

We may update this AUP from time to time. The “Last updated” date above indicates the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page and apply from the date of publication.

12) Governing law

This AUP is governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or in connection with it.
